Silver Train Duo, an acoustic duo from South Manchester, focus upon subtle harmonies and a clever remodelling of some famous songs, to create some unexpected arrangements. They produce a great range of music for every occasion.

Mike and Jan played on the same bill at a number of gigs, as solo performers, before teaming up to form a duo, in 2017 at The Didsbury Guitar Trail.

Musician singer / guitarist Mike Healey is a well known professional performer , teacher and event organiser in South Manchester. He has fronted a number of bands as lead vocalist including Backbeat,Sundance, The Clik Abandon and Westpoint Duo. Now teaming up with talented instrumentalist and singer Jan Sumara to form Silver Train Duo they have created a beautifully balanced acoustic and harmonic sound which has attracted a lot of attention.

Since cutting his first single, (at Belle Vue Funfair, aged seven), Jan has always been involved with music. He currently plays regularly with Loose Change Buskers who raise money for Cancer Research UK, all over the Manchester area. He sings with Glor a Chorlton based choir and he is delighted to be teamed up with Mike Healey in Silver Train. Together, they put their years of experience into creating harmonies that are well worth a listen.
